Mali's homeschool Journal

It's been a wonderful Easter holiday break with great weather. Mali participated in a three hours introductory to sewing class at The Gallery Lane Cove with Sofia on Wed 13th April, they had a lot of fun making scrunchies and headbands. We also spent a week in Blackheath, did a lot of lovely local nature walks and exploring nearby Katoomba and Wentworth Falls during our trip. Mali also attended a Manga Drawing workshop on the 21st April with a local Blackheath artist and learnt a few new techniques for her drawing. 

Week 10 - Final week of term 1, we made it!! It's been an incredible journey transitioning from school to Homeschool for both Mali & I. We have learnt so much together this term and since it has been raining most of this week, we take it very easy and spent a lot of time indoor and watching a few documentaries in our Oodies 🤣 Mali has become such an independent learner when it comes to Maths. Her most favourite subject I think 😜 To celebrate end of school term, Mali also had one of her best friend over for a sleepover.

 Week 9 - Biggest achievement ever!!! Mali finished reading Charlotte's Web, her first chapter book that she managed to read the entire book before watching the movie LOL! It was raining all day so we decided to stay on the Girl's lounge and read all day. We watch the movie at night, it was very good but Mali said she enjoyed the book more 😉 For History, we have been working on an Information Report for the past few weeks. Mali had to do some research on interest people from the past and gather information about them to write a report. As a visual learner, most of her research is done on YouTube and we have decided to learn more about Rosa Parks and write a report about her. Last week we gather some facts about Rosa Parks and make a draft copy.
