Year 4 Term 4 - Week 9 & 10 I can't believe that we made it to the end of Year 4! Mali have been working so hard adjusting to new homeschool lifestyle. She has managed to overcome so many challenges during the past year. Her reading and writing (typing) have made significant progress and continue to improve each and every day. She had read 4 main novels for each term and several e-books throughout the year. I couldn't be prouder of her perseverance to overcome her dyslexia. She also have excelled in her Maths and very comfortable with her 1-12 times table which help with her understanding of multiplication & division. She also learnt to do long division problem with multiple digits! As for Mali's drawing, words can't described how proud I am of all her practice and hard work! Year 4 Term 4 - Week 7 & 8 We visited A Century of Tutankhamun special exhibition at the Chau Chak Wing Museum, Sydney Uni on Sat 19th November 2022 with Juniper. The girls explored different artifacts on display, see LEGO of King Tut coffin created by Brickman and had a go at trying to write their name in Egyptian hieroglyphs. It was a fun experience and great extension of our African continent study this term. Every Monday while I am at work, Mali is getting better at doing independent work with reading comprehension and a few lessons from the English workbook. We have read 16 chapters of this term novel study and she continue to record chapter summary in google doc . Spelling is a bit of a challenge area for Mali so we try to incorporate them into a fun spelling games which she enjoyed more. As for Math, Mali is becoming very proficient with 11 & 12 Timestable.
