Year 4 Term 1, Week 6

Week 6 - We are doing a lot of outdoor and visual learnings this week. We started our week on Sunday at the Hyde Park Barracks self guided audio experience so Mali can learn more about Australian history and how the convict colony impacted the life of indigenous peoples after they have arrived.
We had a lot of fun learning this week Maths through various methods such as online interactive quiz, visual drawing and a lot of games 😁
As for English, we read 4 chapters of Charlotte's web (upto Chapter 13 now) and working through chapter summaries verbally so Mali get a chance to practice Story retelling skill.
Mali also weaved Rainbow web to add to her Charlotte's web display 🥰
We also learnt a lot of new vocabulary through game this week.

Year 4 Term 3 - Week 7 & 8

Week 7 & 8  Mali has read 2 novels this term so far so as a treat, we chose an ebook from the library that I can read to her. She really enjoyed being read to and simply follow the words and find out new vocabulary and discuss storyline together. We decided on Stunt Kids by Trent Roberts. We have read 5 chapters so far this week. Mali continues to do her reading comprehension workbook independently. Science & History - we have decided to incorporate more independent learning when I am away. Mali will complete her assigned tasks via email and send an email to me when she had completed her tasks. It's a great way for her to spend some independent time while staying with her Nanna. Math - Art - some sample of Mali's digital drawing.
